I hate the company my company has sub-contracted a job from. They use all the cheapest imported labor they can find, all the material is cheap and imported, they come into town, hire tradesmen for low wages, build cheap housing projects, then take the money, lay everybody off, and move on. I am embarrassed to tell potential employees how much I can pay them. I'm far from proud to be a part of it.Then again, I owe child support, so the law says I can't change jobs if the pay is less, and I only know one trade. The job maket is terrible right now. So, should I continue to contribute to the beating down of the American working class? I have no good options. I feel like a hypocrite for continuing to work for a company whose business practices I dispise.

Can you relocate? If you can't take less pay and you only know one trade, and if your company is the only game of that sort in town, then it looks like you'll need to go somewhere else.

I hate the place I work now. I been wanting to quit for like 4 years, and in a few months my job will be outsourced. I still go in and work at getting a better job.

i would get on line and look for other job opportunities. there is no reason why you can't explore other possibilities. as far as the money thing is concerned, you don't have to take any of the job offers you might get. but with your experience you may be able to score entry level management with another company. i have been management with two totally different companies. you know what? the basic principals are the same between the two even though they produce totally different products. if your job is making you this unhappy you should move on! but do make sure you have something else lined up. and hey by the way, kudoes to you for paying your child support even though that isn't the entire subject here. and kudoes that you care that it will be paid. many people out there don't give a rip!

Do not leave your job till you have something better lined up or else you could be out of work for a long time with the current job market.If you do not like America so much why not move somewhere else?
