Will australian playstation 2 games work on USA version Playstation 2?
I fell in love with the Aussie V8 Supercar series playing Toca Pro Race Driver games and am thinking about importing one of the V8supercar games because I'm sick of EA's Nascar games which offer nothing else outside of the nascar world and when they do delve into road racing as they did with nascar 2005 it usually sucks.

The short answer is no. The PS2 is region locked, so only games from your region will play in it.

Sadly, no. The U.S. PS2 is NTSC format while Australian and European PS2s are PAL format. The PS2 games are region locked. Sounds like a fun game though. How about purchasing a PS2 from Australia and then playing the game in America? Best of luck!

No, because Australia belongs to PAL region while USA is in NTSC U/C region. However, you can unlock regions by installing modchip (this will void your warranty).
