i want to put a front bumper from a 98 will it fit ok or is there any customization that have to be done and also will the head lights from a 96 fit a 97-99

Fitting a 98 Eclipse front bumper covers on a 96 Eclipse Spyder won't be a problem. The bolt patterns are the same as the 96 bumpers. You'll encounter a problem with the headlights though as the 96 Eclipse Spyder headlights are bigger than the 98's. The headlamps were updated starting the 97 model year.

The bumper will fit, but you'll need to get the headlights from the 97-99 model or else you'll have a large gap between the bumper and the headlights.
