The 1999 GST manual puts out 210 horsepower and 1999 GST automatic puts out 205 horsepower. The 2000 GT also puts out 205 horsepower. The GST weight 3050 lb and the GT weighs 3120 lb. The GST puts out 220 lb-ft torque @ 3000 RPM.The GT puts out 205 lb-ft torque @ 4500 RPM. Because the GST weighs less and puts out more torque, the 1999 Mitsubishi GST will be faster. Posted below are unofficial track times and although I am not sure about their accuracy, they look about right from experience. The times further prove my analysis on the car specifications.

the 99 gst is faster, its turbo plus way lighter, the v6 eclipses are slow unless u buy a new one

the gst is quicker from the factory and also is a better car in my opinion... depending on what you want it for.the gst is a dsm.the gt is an eclipse.

The GST Eclipse is faster than the GT not only because it's turbo charged but because it's lighter as well. The GST goes from 0-60 in 6.4 sec and 1/4 mile in 15 sec. The GT takes 7.0 sec. to get to 60 and 15.3 sec. in a 1/4 mile strip.

In theory every one is correct, we can sit on this question and argue about it all dayIn real life it honestly depends on who is driving and what the track conditions are, both of those factored in might aswell flip a coinin my honest opinion from driving both the gst is a better car for the quater mileroad racing and what have you i believe the gt would be faster
