how do a caculate a simple Australian tax return?

Im just after a rough estimation on what or how the following shoud be caculated-just needed an idea of what i was going to get back.-part time worker-Australian permenent resident-full time student -who is currently paying off a loan -no medicare or private healthcare-no family business-no hecs help-not receiving any centerlink assistanceor should I just see my tax agent?

jump on www.ato.gov.au and download e-tax2007. that way you cvan lodge online. the q's are really easy to understand (better than tax pack). and you get a estimate before you lodge. good luck

try downloading that e-tax software on the ATO website. It's pretty simple.But since your profile looks quite simple, as long as you are on low income under 6000/year....you should be able to claim all ur tax back. Once over that amount, I think it's around 30% of each dollar over 6000.You can also find the info on ATO. It's just too much crap about tax I agree~~...I dont know much either....good luck
