Maths Assignment - Algebra????
These are the groceries given.Crackers: $1.60(w/out GST) $1.76(w/GST)Milk: $4.30(w/out GST) $4.73(w/GST)Dogfood: $2.10(w/out GST) $2.31(w/GST)Cake: $3.50(w/out GST) $3.85(w/GST)(GST = 10%)The Australian Taxation Office advises that "to calculate the GST included in a price, divide the price by 11". Show why this always works?????

Maths Assignment - Algebra????
If you add 10% onto something you then have a total of 11 tenths. Divide it by 11 and you have your original 10% that was added.Sorry I dont know how to express this in mathematic terms.
